RecruitBlock are recruiting a Director of Custody Operations for a leading digital asset trading platform on a mission to provide secure, reliable, regulated products & services to consumers and companies around the world.
As Director of Custody Operations, reporting into the C-level, you will manage the execution of the day-to-day maintenance of custody solutions, collaborating and communicating cross-functionally to ensure that clients assets are secure and that their liquidity needs are continuously met. Role:
✔ Manage and execute the company’s day-to-day custody operations. ✔ Continuously ensure end-to-end operational process requirements are met. ✔ Manage custody / cold storage while mitigating security and financial risks. ✔ Develop novel security solutions to safeguard assets. ✔ Collaborate with external partners to improve points of potential failure and identify new partner opportunities. ✔ Actively participate in the development of custody related systems. ✔ Oversee the management of custody infrastructure, new asset support and system upgrades. ✔ Work cross-functionally with stakeholders in Engineering, Operations, Risk and BD. ✔ Manage hardware and software inventory used in custody processes. ✔ Identify and remediate potential operational custody issues before they materialise into issues. ✔ Support the liquidity management efforts, monitor various wallet balances, including balances required for regulatory reserves and the allocation of balances between platforms within the company’s custody infrastructure. ✔ Support responses to due diligence requests from the company’s prospective and existing clients, regulators and insurers. ✔ Manage relevant data and reporting for management team and risk committees.
Skills:
✔ Proven experience within trading operations and crypto asset custody. ✔ Background in financial trading systems, software or digital security. ✔ Strong understanding of the crypto industry and its current evolution. ✔ Security, detail and quality focused mindset above all other concerns. ✔ Programming / engineering / developer experience or knowledge helpful. ✔ Able to work collaboratively with a diverse group of cross-functional stakeholders. ✔ Able to build and maintain relationships, identify needs in the market and come up with solutions to those needs. ✔ Wider knowledge and experience of DeFi, NFTs, DAOs advantageous. ✔ Strong motivation to grow and develop your career further in crypto.
