We are partnering with a leading Málaga based crypto and blockchain start-up that is part of a FinTech incubator established in 2017. Our client builds enterprise financial software for businesses looking to seamlessly integrate digital assets within their existing operations. They have experienced strong growth in 2020 and as part of their continued growth plans they are now seeking a Senior Beackend Java Engineer to be based either in Málaga or remotely in Spain.
As DevOps Engineer you’ll have a strong passion for problem solving and will be responsible for developing high quality, maintainable and scalable solutions.

Role ✔ Design, code review, static analysis and continuous integration. ✔ Develop high quality, maintainable and scalable solutions. ✔ Automated, performance, penetration and functional testing. ✔ Participate in design processes and create, edit and review design suggestions and documentation. ✔ Focus on security and quality (test automation) ✔ Research, learn and work with the newest tools! ✔ Find and implement simple solutions for complex problems. ✔ Interact daily with product owners and key stakeholders.
Skills ✔ Proven experience as backend developer, with intimate knowledge of Java (min Java 8). ✔ Strong knowledge in testing frameworks including JUnit, Spock, Mockito ✔ Experience with a wide range of open source Java libraries and frameworks, such as Spring, JPA. ✔ BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field desirable. ✔ Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. ✔ Experience using REST Web Services, microservices architecture (dev & testing), messaging frameworks, EDA and version control systems (ideally Git). ✔ BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field desirable. ✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ✔ Strong analytical skills. ✔ Willingness to work in fast-paced environment, learn new tech and programming languages. ✔ Passion to work in blockchain and crypto.
