VP Compliance Technology & Program Manager

RecruitBlock is partnering with a crypto intelligence platform that has seen rapid growth. With Seed and Series A fundraising rounds completed and nearly 2m subscribers this company has an exciting growth plan. It’s now looking for a VP/AVP Compliance Technology & Program Manager to lead the implementation, integration and ongoing management of compliance technologies across its’ platform.

The VP/AVP Compliance Technology & Program Manager will work with a variety of high-level technology vendors that cover key compliance functions like transaction monitoring, anti-fraud, KYC, trade surveillance, reg monitoring and sanctions screening. You will bridge the gap between the compliance, legal and engineering teams to ensure that compliance technology solutions meet operational needs while aligning with regulatory obligations.

This role will be New York tristate (NY, NJ, CT) based starting WFH but transitioning to hybrid at a future point in time.

🧩 How will you spend your time at work?

· Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with key compliance technology vendors that support critical functions like transaction monitoring, customer verification (KYC), sanctions screening, and anti-fraud solutions.

· Technology Integration: Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to seamlessly integrate compliance tools into the platform, ensuring operational efficiency and data accuracy.

· Program Oversight: Manage the entire lifecycle of compliance technology projects, from vendor selection and onboarding to integration and ongoing performance management.

· SLAs & Performance: Ensure vendors meet service level agreements (SLAs), regularly reviewing their performance to ensure they meet the required uptime, speed, and functionality standards.

· Collaboration with Legal & Compliance: Work closely with the Head of Compliance and Legal teams to ensure that the compliance technology stack is aligned with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

· Process Optimization: Continuously assess and refine compliance technology processes to improve scalability and efficiency, reducing manual intervention and increasing automation where possible.

· Cross-Department Collaboration: Serve as the liaison between compliance, legal, and engineering teams to ensure that technology solutions address the needs of all stakeholders.

· Reporting & Metrics: Generate reports on the performance and effectiveness of compliance technology programs, presenting findings to senior leadership and making recommendations for improvements..

· Budget Management: Manage the compliance technology budget, ensuring cost-effective investments in tools and platforms that meet the business’s evolving needs.

· Compliance Training: Support internal teams by providing training on the use of compliance tools and ensuring best practices are followed.

⭐ Here’s what you’ll bring to this VP/AVP Compliance Technology & Program Manager role in New York;

· Proven experience in managing compliance technology and vendor relationships within the crypto, fintech, or financial services industry.

· Strong knowledge of high-level compliance technology solutions, including transaction monitoring, KYC, sanctions screening, and anti-fraud systems.

· Expertise in managing complex technology integration projects, working cross-functionally with engineering and compliance teams

· Demonstrated ability to manage vendor performance against SLAs, with a focus on optimizing system uptime, speed, and functionality.

· Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within scope.

· Effective communicator, able to collaborate with stakeholders across legal, compliance, and technical teams to ensure alignment on key goals.

· Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on process improvement
