RecruitBlock is recruiting a Compliance Analyst for an established Crypto / Bitcoin brokerage operating for nearly 10 years. They are seeking a Compliance Analyst for their business, which provides services to high-net-worth individuals in the UK and Europe and which will be regulated by the GFSC
As a Compliance Analyst, based in Gibraltar, you will be responsible for a variety of compliance related activities, representing the front-line of the compliance function and working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure operations and procedures continue to meet all applicable regulatory standards.
This role will be office based in Gibraltar

Role
✔ Represent the first line of the compliance function.
✔ Investigate transaction monitoring alerts and escalate concerns as necessary.
✔ Screen customers for adverse media, PEP and sanctions list hits.
✔ Review data security measures and promote best practice in this area.
✔ Identify opportunities to improve policies and procedures to maximise the protection of customers.
✔ Continuously monitor the risks facing the business and its customers, and the effectiveness of controls put in place to mitigate those risks.
✔ Stay up-to-date on the latest legal and regulatory developments impacting the business and the wider industry.
✔ Assist in the resolution of day-to-day compliance matters and promote a compliance-first culture.
Skills
✔ Experience in a similar or related role.
✔ Professional experience working in a regulated sector (brokerage, gaming, banking, MSB, PSP, FX, etc) advantageous.
✔ Personal or professional experience with crypto assets desirable.
✔ A problem-solving mindset and analytical approach.
✔ Previous experience using blockchain analysis and/or compliance monitoring systems helpful.
✔ Ability to work using your own initiative and adapt to changing circumstances.
✔ Great interpersonal and communication skills, enabling relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
✔ High professional and ethical standards.
✔ Legally allowed to work in Gibraltar.
✔ UK or EEA passport holder based in Gibraltar or within daily commuting distance.
