The sun was finally shining on the Rock of Gibraltar in time for a relaxed evening of networking, knowledge sharing and…crypto cocktails! The historical and family run Queens Picturehouse and Eatery, provided a unique venue in the iconic Casemates Square, Gibraltar. Gibraltar’s forward-thinking, innovative approach has led it to become the world premier cryptocurrency hub. Gibraltar introduced regulation of cryptocurrency operators in the jurisdiction in January 2018, in an attempt to future-proof the territory’s status as a FinTech hub, and over 4 years later the importance of the crypto community is ever present.
Attendees at the event included cryptocurrency and DLT firms who have already been approved by the GFSC as DLT Providers, alongside representatives of companies currently in the process of applying for a DLT license or looking to locate their business in Gibraltar for regulatory purposes.
