RecruitBlock, hiring specialists for finance roles in crypto, is partnering with a rapidly scaling, global crypto bank to hire a strategic FP&A Analyst to support financial planning and analysis efforts. As part of a small FP&A team this role will contribute to decision-making, ensuring the financial health and growth trajectory of the business, all while working remotely in a fully distributed team.

This role is fully remote within Europe (CET +/-2) and you will be engaged on a B2B/Contract for Services arrangement.

Our client is a pioneering regulated globally accessible private bank, revolutionising how individuals and businesses manage their fiat and crypto wealth by bridging the gap between crypto and traditional banking services. With an emphasis on secure, innovative services, the company has become a trusted name in the crypto banking space. The company provides its services to customers around the world, with a particular focus on Bitcoin custody and crypto wealth management.

·     Products: Private banking services, bitcoin custody, interest earning accounts, global cards, crypto-fiat payments, mobile banking app.

·     Clients: Individual customers/HNWI’s, businesses, and cryptocurrency users.

·     Business Model: Revenue primarily generated through transaction fees, lending services, asset management, crypto-fiat exchange, and cross-border payments.

·     Operations: A global workforce spread across multiple regions, with a remote-first culture.

 

FP&A Analyst’s Mission

As an FP&A Analyst, you will work closely with finance (CFO) and business stakeholders to help ensure the business’s financial health and growth. You’ll help shape strategic financial decisions through detailed analysis and forecasting, contributing to the company’s long-term success.

·     Design and maintain financial models and forecasts to support both short-term and long-term business strategies.

·     Provide insightful financial analysis to track performance and inform key business decisions.

·     Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse performance and optimise operational efficiencies.

·     Create and maintain financial dashboards and reporting for senior stakeholders.

·     Assist with budgeting and variance analysis to help meet financial goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

The FP&A Analyst will:

·        Support the financial planning process, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives.

·        Develop and maintain financial models to predict revenue, costs, and profitability.

·        Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, providing insights into key performance metrics.

·        Collaborate with different teams to improve financial performance and optimise operations.

·        Monitor and analyse cash flow to ensure the financial health of the organisation.

·        Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets.

·        Analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.

·        Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including variance analysis and performance dashboards.

·        Support the development and maintenance of financial models and forecasting tools.

·        Assist in the preparation of presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

·        Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

·        Assist in the preparation of business cases for new initiatives and investments.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure data accuracy.

·        Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for improvement.

·        Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.

·        Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes and procedures.

 

Must-Have Experience

We are looking for an FP&A Analyst who has:

·        Experience in financial planning and analysis within a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment is essential.

·        Experience ideally in fintech, digital banking, or cryptocurrency.    

·        A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CFA, CIMA, or similar certifications are a plus).

·        Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain financial models.

·        Advanced proficiency with Excel and experience in financial planning, ERP and Data software (Anaplan, Netsuite, Looker, Tableau all advantageous).

·        Strong understanding of financial metrics and business performance indicators.

·        Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to all levels of the organisation.
