RecruitBlock is partnering with a web3 scale-up decentralised data protocol, that enables serverless and trustless applications at scale,to recruit a Head of Engineering. Using a fully decentralised data infrastructure the protocal enables apps to use a decentralised content sharing delivery network as an alternative to traditionally centralised equivalents, as well as harness a decentralised consumer data platform.
This is a remote role for candidates based only in Europe as the company operates within CET time zone.
As Head of Engineering you’ll want to be challenged to achieve great outcomes, leading and cultivating the Engineering team into a world-class innovation team. You’ll be a proven innovator, passionate about delivering rapid and robust solutions to acute business needs, whilst also foster the best team and culture for long-term growth. As an integral part of the leadership team, you’ll focus on collaborative teamwork with cross-functional stakeholders in business operations and product.

Skills
✔ Proven engineering leadership experience, preferably in venture-backed or 50+ people technology companies.
✔ Hands-on experience architecting/developing highly distributed and/or high throughput solutions at scale.
✔ Ability to thrive in a working environment that defaults to methodical, simulation-driven, fast development iterations and a first-principle thinking mindset.
✔ A passion for people management, empowering and developing team members with a strong sense of agency and a growth mindset.
✔ A track record of creating team cohesion to enable the team to achieve great things.
✔ Autonomous, goal-oriented, able to embrace transparency and accountability – nobody wants to micro-manage others.
✔ Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders across a company to deliver good products.
✔ High standards and strong discipline, embracing a growth mindset to continuously learn and incrementally improve habits and processes.
✔ An understanding that growing and engaging your team is one of the highest ROI activities you can do as a leader, and you must find innovative ways to do this consistently.
✔ Native level English required.
