Senior Software Engineer’s Mission

You’ll play a pivotal role in building and optimising back-end systems that power data-driven products in fintech and crypto. Leading by example, you’ll mentor junior engineers, design scalable data pipelines, and drive best practices in cloud, security, and DevOps.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Build and maintain scalable back-end systems using Python and microservices architecture.

·      Develop and optimise data processing pipelines and ETL workflows for large datasets.

·      Collaborate on system design and code reviews, ensuring industry-standard coding practices.

·      Implement CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) and drive DevOps practices.

·      Work with AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments.

·      Ensure security best practices are applied across the software development lifecycle.

·      Mentor and support junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative engineering culture.

·      Contribute to agile ceremonies and cross-functional team initiatives.

 

Must-Have Experience

·      4+ years of professional software engineering experience.

·      Python as your primary language, with additional modern language exposure.

·      Strong back-end development skills, ideally with data processing for large datasets.

·      Proficiency in SQL with query performance optimisation.

·      Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and DevOps practices.

·      Experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS.

·      Familiarity with containerisation and microservices.

·      Agile development experience.

·      Problem-solving mindset with adaptability in fast-changing environments.

·      Highly collaborative approach with strong communication skills.

·      Ability to mentor and guide junior developers.

·      Knowledge of Bash scripting.

·      Experience with fintech, financial data, or the crypto ecosystem (desirable).

·      A genuine passion for crypto, Web3, and the future of decentralised finance.

·      Curiosity about blockchain innovation and enthusiasm for building in the crypto ecosystem.
