Compliance Analyst

With Seed and Series A fundraising rounds completed and nearly 2m subscribers this company has an exciting growth plan. It’s now looking for a Compliance Analyst based in the Dominican Republic who will play a vital role in ensuring that the company’s operations align with regulatory standards across various compliance areas, including Know Your Customer (KYC), Transaction Monitoring (TM), and Sanctions compliance.

As Compliance Analyst based in the Dominican Republic you will work closely with different departments to ensure smooth onboarding, mitigate risks and support the ongoing development of all compliance infrastructure.

🧩 How will you spend your time at work?

· Conduct detailed reviews of customer onboarding documents to ensure compliance with KYC and customer due diligence (CDD) policies.

· Perform customer identity verification checks and assess documentation for completeness, accuracy, and legitimacy.

· Assist in managing enhanced due diligence (EDD) processes for high-risk customers.

· Monitor customer transactions to detect unusual or suspicious activities, in line with Transaction Monitoring (TM) protocols.

· Collaborate with the compliance team to review and escalate potential sanctions violations and suspicious activities.

· Work closely with the VP/AVP and compliance team to improve onboarding workflows, mitigate KYC, TM, and sanctions alerts, and ensure processes remain efficient and compliant.

· Assist in integrating compliance tools and technologies into systems, enhancing the efficiency of KYC, TM, and sanctions workflows.

· Contribute to the development and refinement of compliance policies and procedures.

· Communicate directly with customers and internal teams to resolve onboarding and compliance-related issues promptly.

· Work cross-functionally with the legal, risk, and operations teams to ensure a seamless compliance process.

· Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in KYC, AML and financial crime compliance within the crypto and financial services sectors.

· Help maintain accurate and organized compliance records to meet audit and regulatory requirements

⭐ Here’s what you’ll bring to this Compliance Analyst role in the Dominican Republic;

· Proven experience in a compliance, onboarding, KYC, or another compliance-related role, preferably within the crypto industry, fintech, or a crypto-native company.

· Strong interest in blockchain technology, crypto assets, and compliance.

· Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to review complex data and documents efficiently.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a customer-centric approach.

· Self-motivated and eager to take on new challenges in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

· Basic understanding of KYC, AML, CDD, and sanctions regulations relevant to the crypto and financial services sectors.

· Ability to handle shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
