Our Gibraltar Recruiters are partnering with a leading blockchain digital asset trading platform, headquartered in Asia, who are seeking a Compliance Director for their new Gibraltar operation, which is currently applying for a DLT provider license. Their mission is to serve the blockchain industry by providing secure and reliable products & services to consumers and companies around the world.
Based in Gibraltar, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the Compliance function of the regulated business, working closely with the overseas management team, developing compliance strategies in line with various regulatory requirements.

Role
✔ Oversee and manage company-wide compliance within the crypto organization and shared services environment. ✔ Develop compliance strategies in alignment with various regulatory requirements, including DLT, and constantly update according to the company’s development. ✔ Lead relevant license applications including GFSC. ✔ Design, implement, update and enforce the policies and procedures needed for compliance. ✔ Communicate to stakeholders and own relevant employee compliance training. ✔ Investigate any incident or violations for legal or regulatory requirements, ensuring a speedy and appropriate reaction to matters in which ML/TF is suspected. ✔ Hands-on attitude on project management. ✔ Liaise with regulatory agencies in Gibraltar. ✔ Coordinate with external stakeholders such as banks, vendors, lawyers, and consultants.
Skills
✔ Strong proven compliance experience at a senior level within the Crypto / Digital Assets / Virtual Assets industry. ✔ Excellent knowledge and experience with Gibraltar Distributed Ledger Technology Regulatory Framework (DLT framework) license applications. ✔ Holding CAMS or other compliance related certificates is highly preferred. ✔ Good relationship and past experiences interacting with Gibraltar Regulators, GFSC, FCA and/or other regulatory bodies. ✔ Excellent understanding Compliance & Risk frameworks, and Crypto industry relevant regulatory & legal aspects, such as DLT framework. ✔ Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. ✔ Able to multitask, problem-solve and prioritize in an effective and efficient manner. ✔ Able to operate as a key member of an international team. ✔ Experience within cryptocurrency / digital assets / blockchain is very beneficial.
