RecruitBlock are exclusively recruiting a Payment Operations Manager in Gibraltar for a FinTech innovator who are disrupting corporate treasury management through a multi-currency banking and crypto offering.
This innovator sits at the frontier of digital assets (crypto) and traditional (fiat) finance and is leading the way to bridging those two worlds for corporate clients.
As Payment Operations Manager you’ll be responsible for day to day running of the end-to-end payment operations, with a focus on both traditional payment methods and the crypto offering. You’ll partner with a global team of payment operations specialists, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and compliant payment processing.

Role: ✔ Day-to-day payment operations, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of transactions, including payments, settlements and reconciliation. ✔ Develop and maintain robust operational processes and procedures. ✔ Optimise efficiency, reduce risk and enhance customer experience. ✔ Collaborate with internal teams including CS, Compliance, Legal and Risk, to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to regulatory requirements, security standards and anti-fraud measures. ✔ Drive first contact resolution through relevant back-end portals. ✔ Work with underlying banks on transactional queries from correspondent banks or beneficiary banks. ✔ Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure testing is completed and operational effectiveness with crypto partner integrations. ✔ Run day to day procedures specific to crypto payment processing, addressing security, compliance and customer support aspects. ✔ Manage risks associated with crypto payments such as volatility, regulatory changes and fraud prevention. ✔ Stay updated with industry trends, regulations and emerging technologies related to traditional payments and cryptocurrencies. ✔ Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Skills: ✔ Experience in payment operations within the crypto, fintech, financial services or online gaming industry. ✔ Strong understanding of traditional payment systems and processes. ✔ Strong operational knowledge on banking rails. ✔ Demonstrate strong customer centric focus delivering results in time sensitive payment situations. ✔ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. ✔ Keen eye for detail and a commitment to operational excellence. ✔ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. ✔ Ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships across cross-functional teams and with customers. ✔ Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.. ✔ Passion for fintech, cryptocurrencies, and emerging technologies.
