VP of Finance

RecruitBlock is exclusively recruiting a VP of Finance for the fastest growing IP Company in Web3, who are on a mission to inspire connection by democratizing IP ownership, creating exceptional products, captivating content and unforgettable experiences.

Reporting into the company President, it’s an exciting time to be a part of this high growth start-up who are seed stage VC backed.

This is a remote role that would require an ability to travel to Florida quarterly. Previous experience working as a Senior Finance professional in the crypto / defi / web3 space is a core requirement for this role.

🧩 How will you spend your time at work?

·        Ensure financial systems are robust, compliant and support current and future business activities and products.

·        Establish and implement financial policies, procedures and controls in line with relevant Financial standards and legal requirements.

·        Work alongside outsourced service providers to bring all finance operations in-house.

·        Effectively monitor, manage and mitigate financial risks to the business.

·        Prepare timely and accurate analyses, summaries, KPI’s and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the company.

·        Actively participate in the development of business strategy, providing financial and commercial analysis to the C-Suite

·        Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.

·        Ensure safeguarding of assets and capital, manage cashflow and supplier payments.

·        Oversee all audits and statutory reporting.

·        Management of relationships with professional service providers, financial regulators, banks and other external parties / suppliers.

. Recruit, manage and coach a finance team in line with business and departmental requirements

⭐ Here’s what you’ll bring to this Finance role;

·        Proven experience as a self-motivated senior Finance professional within the crypto / defi sector.

·        Knowledge of crypto finance and accounting standards.

·        Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or International equivalent).

·        Crypto native with foundational understanding of tradition finance and accounting.

·        Experienced setting up and managing finances between multiple entities.

·        Excellent technical accounting combined with strong data, analytics, statistical and reporting skills.

·        Proven experience managing relationships with regulators, banks and service provider.

·        Organizational and leadership skills.

·        Passion for working in a high growth, international, hybrid start-up environment.

·        Motivation and desire to successfully deliver in an entrepreneurial, small team.

·        Preferred ability to travel to Florida quarterly. 

🤝 Interview process

·        Interview with our Talent Acquisition Specialist (30 min).

·        Interview with the Director of Operations (60 minutes).

·        Final interview with the CEO (60 min).
