We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Audit Partner to join a pioneering crypto attestation and audit firm that is seeking to further expand its international footprint into Australia.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Audit Partner to launch, build and own an Australian audit entity focused exclusively on digital assets, cryptocurrency and blockchain-native businesses. This is a rare opportunity for a senior audit leader who wants true ownership, autonomy and long term upside while working at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing sectors in financial services.
This role is ideal for a Partner who is ready to step beyond traditional firm constraints and build something meaningful in the digital asset ecosystem.
Role Overview
As Audit Partner you will be responsible for establishing and leading the firm’s Australian audit practice, with ownership over strategy, regulatory alignment, client acquisition and team build-out.
You will work full-time in the digital asset and crypto space, advising complex, high-growth clients while shaping the future of audit standards in an evolving regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities

Launch and lead the firm’s Australian audit entity, including regulatory setup and operational governance.
Act as Engagement Partner on audit engagements for digital asset and crypto-native clients.
Own client relationships with exchanges, custodians, Web3 companies and blockchain platforms.
Build and scale a high-performing US audit team.
Ensure compliance with AUASB, AASB, IFRS/ISA reporting and regulatory requirements.
Develop audit methodologies tailored to crypto assets, tokens, smart contracts and blockchain systems.
Serve as a thought leader in digital assets, representing the firm externally.
Collaborate with international partners on global crypto engagements.
Candidate Profile
Essential
-
Proven experience as an Audit Partner (or equivalent senior audit leader).
Deep technical audit expertise within Australian regulatory frameworks.
Strong understanding of digital assets, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
Experience leading complex, high-risk audit engagements.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build and own an Australian entity.
Eligibility to practice and sign audit opinions in Australia.
Desirable

Prior experience auditing crypto exchanges, custodians or Web3 businesses.
Experience launching or scaling a practice, office or legal entity.
Existing network within digital assets or financial services.
Thought leadership or public speaking in audit, crypto or emerging technologies.
