About the Organisation

An international audit and attestation organisation specialising in digital assets, cryptocurrency and blockchain is expanding its footprint into the United States. The business supports exchanges, custodians, Web3 companies and blockchain platforms, and is appointing an Audit Partner to establish and lead its US audit practice.

The Appointment

The Audit Partner will establish, build and lead the organisation’s US audit entity, taking ownership of its regulatory development, audit delivery, client relationships, commercial growth and team build-out. The role is fully focused on digital assets and crypto, combining senior technical audit leadership with significant autonomy and long-term participation in the growth of the US practice.

Key Responsibilities

·  Establish and lead the US audit entity, including its regulatory, operational and governance framework.

·  Act as Engagement and Signing Partner across audit and assurance engagements for digital asset and blockchain businesses.

·  Lead complex and higher-risk engagements across exchanges, custodians, Web3 companies and blockchain platforms.

·  Build and develop senior client relationships while supporting the continued growth of the US client portfolio.

·  Develop and scale a high-performing US audit team as the practice grows.

·  Maintain audit quality and regulatory alignment with US GAAP, PCAOB, AICPA and other applicable professional requirements.

·  Develop audit methodologies appropriate to digital assets, tokens, smart contracts and blockchain-based systems.

·  Represent the organisation externally and collaborate with international Partners on cross-border digital asset engagements.

Experience and Capability

·  Current or previous experience as an Audit Partner, or equivalent senior audit leader, within a recognised audit practice.

·  Significant technical audit experience within the United States and strong knowledge of relevant US professional and regulatory frameworks.

·  Eligibility to practise and sign audit opinions in the United States.

·  Experience leading complex and higher-risk audit engagements and managing senior client relationships.

·  Strong understanding of digital assets, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

·  Commercial and entrepreneurial capability, with the ambition to establish and grow a US audit practice.

·  Experience working with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic, regulatory and operational decision-making.

·  Previous audit exposure to crypto exchanges, custodians or Web3 businesses, practice-building experience, an established market network or relevant thought leadership would be advantageous.

Leadership and Stakeholder Context

As the senior leader responsible for the US practice, the Audit Partner will have significant decision-making responsibility across regulatory development, client strategy, audit quality, commercial growth and team expansion. The role will work closely with international Partners and senior client stakeholders and will play an important part in the organisation’s wider international growth strategy.
