RecruitBlock are recruiting a Business Development Director in Gibraltar for a financial services innovator who are disrupting & revolutionising corporate treasury management through a multi-currency banking and crypto offering. The company is undergoing a first investment round and aims to become a unicorn by 2023.

This innovator sits at the frontier of digital assets (crypto) and traditional (fiat) finance and is leading the way to bridging the two globally through corporate banking products and digital assets under one platform.

We’re seeking a highly motivated Business Development Director, passionate about making a multicurrency platform a world class solution, to be based in Gibraltar with interaction with over offices across the globe (UK, Gibraltar, Europe, India and Philippines)

The Business Development Director is a senior, influential position and will manage a dramatic revenue growth programme, whilst ensuring the function delivers in a globally consistent and efficient way. Working closely with the CEO & CCO you’ll prove new market opportunities and build on existing verticals.

The successful Business Development Director will have the ability to increase sales and build successful long-term client relationships, directly or through a strategic programme of recruitment.

Role:

✔ Close strategic partnership deals to drive business growth.

✔ Provide industry specific insight for internal teams such as sales, product, and marketing

✔ Provide training and development to sales employees and the wider business to ensure success of the multi-currency vertical

✔ Proactively identifying any pain points in the vertical that may lead to payment issues

✔ Tailor your strategy based on solutions to cater for any identified pain points

✔ Develop vertical specific pricing for the tailored solutions

✔ Recruit, train and develop sales teams in the multi-currency vertical and establish sales pipelines

✔ Lead a multidisciplinary team that supports business development and success of the multi-currency vertical

Skills: 

Senior/ Director level experience in large / mid-market corporate sales / client relationships in financial services in Gibraltar.

✔ Self-starter and excellent communicator, customer driven and who takes ownership.

Gibraltar resident with an excellent understanding and knowledge of the jurisdiction with great local knowledge.

✔ Great understanding of and interest in financial services & crypto.

✔ Established networks in gambling / corporate service providers / aviation / marine sectors.

✔ Quantifiable experience in developing sales and relationship strategies as well as contributing to overall business strategies

✔ Hands-on experience with CRM software and experience in developing sales performance metrics.

✔ Knowledgeable and business-savvy. Exceptional market knowledge and customer centric with an understanding of the consumer and customer journey.

✔ Senior level executive with proven success with a ‘can do’ attitude.

✔ Highly logical and persuasive with great stakeholder management skills

✔ Outstanding communication skills towards customers, external partners and across all functions and levels of an organisation

✔ Strong analytical and organisational skills coupled with Degree Level / equivalent Education and demonstrable experience with excellent local knowledge of Gibraltar.
