The firm supports exchanges, asset managers, custodians and digital asset infrastructure businesses with financial audit, assurance, proof of reserves, financial reporting and verification frameworks, as institutional expectations around transparency, reporting quality and audit discipline continue to increase.

Following recent investment, the business is building out a founding US audit and assurance team within its established international firm.

The Appointment

This is a founding US team appointment within a specialist digital asset audit and assurance firm.

The focus is on Partners already operating in financial audit and assurance for digital asset clients who can contribute immediately to the development of a US practice. This is not a transition role for Partners seeking first exposure to the sector.

Role Scope

·    Lead the development of a US digital asset financial audit and assurance practice

·    Originate, shape and oversee financial audit and assurance engagements as engagement and signing Partner across digital asset and crypto-native clients

·    Provide senior leadership across US GAAP financial statements, disclosures, proof of reserves and reporting frameworks

·    Build relationships with exchanges, custodians, asset managers and digital asset financial services businesses

·    Support methodology development across digital asset audit, verification and reporting integrity

·    Contribute to the commercial and strategic build-out of the US firm

Executive Profile

·    CPA qualification

·    Current or recent experience as an Audit Partner, Assurance Partner, Principal or equivalent

·    Experience gained within a Big Four, national or mid-tier audit firm, or a specialist digital asset / crypto-native assurance practice

·    Direct experience as Engagement / Signing Partner on financial audit and assurance work for digital asset, cryptocurrency or blockchain-focused clients

·    Strong grounding in external audit, financial statements, disclosures and US GAAP reporting

·    Clear specialism in financial audit and assurance, rather than IT audit, internal audit, SOX-only, cyber or risk-only work

·    Preference for Partners working within or leading dedicated digital asset audit departments, digital asset assurance departments or specialist crypto-focused practices

Candidates without direct digital asset financial audit and assurance experience within a professional services environment are unlikely to be relevant.
