Following recent private equity investment, the business is building out a founding US audit and assurance team within an established international firm.

The Appointment

This is a founding US appointment within a specialist digital asset assurance firm.

The focus is on individuals already operating in financial audit and assurance for digital asset clients who can contribute immediately to the development of a specialist US capability. This is not a transition role for generalist auditors seeking first exposure to the sector.

Role Scope

·         Lead and support engagements focused on proof of reserves, digital asset verification and related assurance work

·         Work across financial reporting integrity, digital asset disclosures and on-chain verification frameworks

·         Support the design and delivery of methodologies aligned to digital asset assurance requirements

·         Engage with clients and internal leadership on technically complex areas of digital asset reporting and verification

·         Contribute to the build-out of a US specialist assurance capability

Executive Profile

·         CPA qualification

·         Current or recent experience at Senior Manager, Director or equivalent within audit and assurance

·         Experience gained within a Big Four, national or mid-tier audit firm, or a specialist digital asset / crypto-native assurance practice

·         Direct experience across financial audit, assurance, proof of reserves, verification or digital asset reporting for crypto-focused clients

·         Strong grounding in external audit, financial statements, disclosures and US GAAP reporting

·         Clear specialism in financial audit and assurance, rather than IT audit, cyber audit, internal audit or controls-only work

·         Preference for candidates already operating within digital asset assurance teams or specialist crypto-focused practices

Candidates without financial audit and assurance exposure in digital asset environments are unlikely to be relevant.

Market Context

Proof of reserves and related verification work is moving from edge-case capability into a more established part of digital asset assurance.

This appointment supports a platform building specialist capability where market demand is becoming more structured and commercially important. It is intended for practitioners already working in the space rather than those seeking to enter it for the first time.

The founding US team is being built with leadership experience drawn from both specialist digital asset assurance environments and leading global audit firms, creating a credible platform for experienced practitioners already working in this area.
