RecruitBlock are recruiting a Backend Java Software Engineer for an international payments provider who specialise in building the bridge between cryptocurrency and traditional payment gateways.
This Málaga based blockchain company enables companies to integrate digital assets into fiat-based payment gateways.
The Backend Java Software Engineer will have a strong passion for problem solving, strong attention to detail and will be focused on quality and developing maintainable and scalable solutions. The role is remote based in Spain or based in Málaga with work-from-home and hybrid working options available.

Role:
✔ Develop high quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
✔ Design, code review, static analysis, continuous integration.
✔ Automated and performance testing.
✔ Participate in the design process and create / edit / review design suggestions and documentation.
✔ Find and implement simple solutions for complex problems.
✔ Interact directly with the product owners and key stakeholders.
✔ Provide the best technical support for all customers.
✔ Respond to production incidents whilst on a pager duty rotation.
✔ Research, learn and work with the newest tools!
Skills:
✔ Proven experience as a BackEnd Developer / Engineer.
✔ Exposure to a wide range of open source Java libraries and frameworks including Spring, JPA, etc.
✔ Excellent knowledge in Java (minimum Java 8).
✔ Strong knowledge in testing frameworks: JUnit, Spock, Mockito.
✔ Experience with Relational databases.
✔ Experience with REST Web Services.
✔ Exposure to a wide range of open source technologies and best software practices.
✔ Cloud application development in AWS, GCP beneficial.
✔ NodeJS, Typescript & GraphQL experience helpful.
✔ Experience with payment services (FinTech) advantageous.
✔ Ability to contribute productively to a fast-paced development team.
✔ Pragmatic attitude and approach to solving problems.
✔ Passion for cryptocurrencies / blockchain a bonus.
✔ Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English.
