We are partnering with a leading Málaga based crypto and blockchain start-up that is part of a FinTech incubator established in 2017. Our client builds enterprise financial software for businesses looking to seamlessly integrate digital assets within their existing operations. They have experienced strong growth in 2020 and as part of their continued growth plans they are now seeking an R&D Engineer to be based either in Málaga or remotely in Spain.
As R&D Engineer you’ll be part of the Innovation team, responsible for researching, investigating and building prototypes to ensure the business remains an industry leader and contributor to the crypto community.

Role ✔ Research, design and develop new ideas and concepts that are critical to the ongoing strategic vision of the product and company. ✔ Study the viability of different solutions to high-level ideas or problems, assessing and evaluating their suitability. ✔ Determine the best language, tool or framework to solve problems. ✔ Partner closely with Enterprise Architects to ensure proposed solutions fit with architecture. ✔ Closely collaborate with the delivery team during the implementation of solutions. ✔ Proactively contribute to the wider crypto community. ✔ Interact on an ongoing basis with key stakeholders.
Skills ✔ Proven experience as a developer. ✔ Strong experience with at least two of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, C++, Go, Java. ✔ Experience with different communication protocols: REST, Websockets, Kafka. ✔ BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field desirable. ✔ Experience with Blockchain / Bitcoin and an altcoin advantageous. ✔ Experience with any crypto script programming language: Bitcoin Scripting or Solidity helpful. ✔ Previous experience with Docker Compose and micro-services, cryptography or Cyber security fields helpful. ✔ BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field desirable. ✔ Pragmatic attitude and approach to solving problems. ✔ Ability to develop pragmatic solutions based on ideas or partial requirements. ✔ Excellent analytical skills. ✔ Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ✔ Passion to work in blockchain and crypto.
