RecruitBlock is partnering with a web3 scale-up decentralised data protocol, that enables serverless and trustless applications at scale,to recruit a Senior/Lead Golang Engineer. Using a fully decentralised data infrastructure the protocal enables apps to use a decentralised content sharing delivery network as an alternative to traditionally centralised equivalents, as well as harness a decentralised consumer data platform.
This is a remote role for candidates based only in Europe
(UK & EEA) as the company operates within CET time zone.
As Senior/Lead Golang Engineering you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and developing significant system software components within a highly collaborative, test-driven and rapid prototyping approach environment. You will need to build upon your previous innovation and operational experience with highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, reliability and performance guarantees.

Role
✔ Drive the design and development of significant system software components with a highly collaborative, test-driven, and rapid prototyping approach. ✔ Deliver highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, reliability and performance guarantees. ✔ Design, build and operate high-throughput, highly resilient distributed data systems. ✔ Mentor and guide team members, creating career development plans and conducting regular 1-1s to support their growth. ✔ Facilitate communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams. ✔ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Skills ✔ Proven extensive experience programming with Golang ✔ Deep understanding of system design, data structures and algorithms. ✔ Experience with concurrency, transactions and parallel execution. ✔ Experience with cryptography (encryption and signatures). ✔ Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with effective communication skills. ✔ Experience across Tech stack that includes: Golang, libp2p, BadgerDB, Substrate-based blockchain API, Crypto ies for asymmetric encryption and signatures. ✔ Experience with distributed databases and/or storage systems beneficial. ✔ Database engine internals (storage and query processing) helpful. ✔ Distributed systems: consensus-based quorum replication, peering networks system implementation. ✔ Excellent communication skills, autonomous, goal-orientated mindset, able to embrace transparency and accountability and with a growth and continuous learning approach. ✔ Native level English required.
