RecruitBlock is exclusively recruiting an MLRO for a global blockchain company behind the world’s largest digital asset exchange by trading volume and users. They are seeking an MLRO for their Gibraltar business, which is currently applying for a DLT provider license from the GFSC, who is passionate to contribute to them delivering the cryptocurrency revolution that is changing the world.

Role
✔ Act as an Approved Person with the GFSC.
✔ Ensure ongoing monitoring and reporting.
✔ Coordinate various foreign regulatory filings.
✔ Focus on internal compliance policy review, including ongoing assessments, assisting with compliance review, internal audit reviews and ongoing or ad hoc reviews.
✔ Assist in the development of training materials.
✔ Provide statistics on monitoring completion as needed.
✔ Make recommendations for enhancing systems, controls and processes.
✔ Manage monitoring registers and other records necessary to evidence efforts.
✔ Assist with maintaining overall compliance with the requirements and obligations prescribed by the GFSC and other relevant financial authorities and agencies.
Skills
✔ Proven experience in an MLRO position within a FinTech environment, preferably within the DLT sector.
✔ Experience in a fraud, compliance, AML or similar regulatory function within a regulated financial services business, with crypto experience preferred.
✔ Exposure to crypto transaction monitoring tools is desirable.
✔ CAMS professional certification desirable.
✔ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organization maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations.
✔ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide useful and efficient counsel.
✔ Good understanding of performing risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews and enhanced due diligence.
✔ Proficiency in compliance applications and programmes.
✔ To carry out the necessary studies to ensure compliance with the regulations issued and to provide necessary communication and coordination.
✔ Experience within cryptocurrency / digital assets / blockchain advantageous.
