RecruitBlock is partnering with a leading investment platform to recruit a Compliance Officer for their London operations. The platform is user-friendly and allows beginners and experts alike to invest in cryptocurrencies, stocks, precious metals, and commodities.
As Compliance Officer you’ll work closely with Group Compliance and AML colleagues in European offices, and you’ll support existing UK crypto and custody business.
Leadership, compliance, AML advisory, regulatory improvement, and stakeholder engagement will be key to success.

Role
✔ Assist with the licence application and the establishment of our new business in the UK as the nominated compliance officer and the MLRO. ✔ MLRO for existing UK custody business, advising on all aspects of core compliance including AML/AFC, owning the compliance program, fulfilling MLRO accountabilities, and maintaining inventory, controls, testing, and reporting. ✔ Providing Compliance and Financial Crime advice to all UK entities and fostering a culture of compliance. ✔ Maintain existing Compliance, AML, and sanctions processes and implement appropriate controls that match business and regulatory requirements. ✔ Establish effective programs, frameworks, and policies to meet regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering obligations. ✔ Internal and external management of UK suspicious activity reports (SAR). ✔ Maintaining a strong relationship with regulator and ensuring accurate responses and reports. ✔ Review new developments from regulators affecting business activities. ✔ Keeping our executive team, management boards, and the board of directors updated on relevant compliance and AML issues. ✔ Collaboration with internal teams and external parties, likeLegal, Risk, Internal Audit, and external auditors.You’ll design and deliver compliance training to your colleagues.
Skills
✔ Working experience in crypto, banking, or financial services. ✔ Previously held SMF16 and SMF17 roles or have relevant experience. ✔ Hands-on experience running a compliance and AML program. ✔ You’ll know industry’s regulatory requirements (crypto and custody)
✔ You’re a team player, open-minded, organized, resilient, reliable, and committed. ✔ With great communication skills, you’ll collaborate effectively with colleagues in Europe, senior management, and third parties. ✔ Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels with excellent communication and presentation skills. ✔ Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with excellent problem-solving skills. ✔ Collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders ✔ UK citizen with current right to work in UK (sponsorship is not offered).
