We are partnering with a leading blockchain digital asset trading platform, headquartered in Asia, who are seeking a Compliance Director for their American operation. With market leading trading volumes their mission is to serve the crypto industry by providing regulated, secure and reliable products & services to consumers and companies around the world.
You’ll be responsible for all aspects of the Compliance function of the American business operation, working closely with the overseas management team, developing compliance strategies in line with various regulatory requirements.

Role
✔ Oversee and manage US compliance within the crypto organization and shared services environment. ✔ Develop compliance strategies in alignment with various regulatory requirements and constantly update according to the company’s development. ✔ Create and understand processes that ensure procedural and regulatory requirements and future requirements are anticipated and accounted for. ✔ Lead relevant license applications and regulatory management. ✔ Design, implement, update and enforce the policies and procedures needed for compliance. ✔ Communicate to stakeholders and own relevant employee compliance training. ✔ Investigate any incident or violations for legal or regulatory requirements, ensuring a speedy and appropriate reaction to matters in which ML/TF is suspected. ✔ Hands-on attitude on project management. ✔ Liaise with regulatory agencies across America. ✔ Coordinate with external stakeholders such as banks, vendors, lawyers, and consultants.
Skills
✔ Strong proven compliance experience at a senior level within the Crypto / Digital Assets / Virtual Assets industry. ✔ Excellent knowledge and experience with relevant Federal and State regulatory frameworks (FinCEN, BSA, FAFT, MTL etc.) ✔ Business and technology savvy problem solver who drives and utilizes innovative regulatory and technology solutions. ✔ Good relationship and past experiences interacting with regulatory bodies. ✔ Proven experience evaluating operational processes and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry best practices. ✔ Successfully identified, implemented and evaluated BSA/AML transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting requirements for new and existing products or features. ✔ Excellent understanding of Compliance and Risk frameworks and Crypto industry relevant regulatory & legal aspects. ✔ Able to operate as a key member of an international team. ✔ Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. ✔ Able to multitask, problem-solve and prioritize in an effective and efficient manner.
