RecruitBlock is recruiting a Financial Accountant for an NTF collection and marketplace provider.
This start-up is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join and grow alongside the business.
This Financial Accountant role will be based in the UK, so the company is looking for UK based candidates who will be offered options of hybrid and remote working in the UK.
In this Financial Accountant role you will be working within a small team and maintaining process and controls, and implementing enhancements to help scale the company. You’ll be responsible for overseeing month end close and delivering the financial accounting for the business and the role will provide the opportunity to participate in more commercial activities as the business develops.

Role ✔ Produce monthly financial and management accounts. ✔ Provide financial analysis, commentary and insight for the board pack. ✔ Responsible for managing the month-end close process. ✔ Report on business performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. ✔ Continuously review and improve processes and systems to ensure efficiency. ✔ Implement robust controls and rigour into financial processes. ✔ Support the Finance Director with audit and compliance matters. ✔ Ad-Hoc projects to support the business as it scales.
Skills ✔ Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA). ✔ Experience in working with international companies and multi-currency environment. ✔ Experience working in a similar role with strong balance sheet, cashflow and income statement understanding. ✔ Strong understanding of financial processes and automation. ✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ✔ Self-motivated, able to work towards deadlines, independent worker.
